Virtual Reality Training for Use in Sarcopenia
VIRTUS (Virtual Reality Training for Use in Sarcopenia) is a research project that compares two types of physical exercise, conventional training and virtual reality based training, in the intervention of sarcopenia. The study is developed in collaboration with the Municipality of Óbidos (CMO), CiPER - Centre for the Study of Human Performance (CiPER-UC), FCDEF-UC and FCTUC, under the scientific supervision of Professor Marco António Machado Simões (FCTUC) and Professor Liliana Baptista (FCDEF-UC)

I believe that physical exercise, when properly planned and monitored, is a crucial tool for improving metabolic health, preserving function throughout aging, and enhancing long-term quality of life. My commitment is to offer rigorous, data-driven technical support with a strategic and human perspective on the change process. Furthermore, my goal is to translate scientific knowledge into accessible information, enabling each person to understand the impact of their choices and actively participate in building their own healthy aging process.
